Skoda Fabia combi - the world premiere of the third generation of the model took place in the fall of 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. In the new generation, the station wagon Fabia has become 31 mm lower and 90 mm wider than its predecessor. Thanks to this, the interior has become more spacious, and from the outside the car looks more like a car, more squat and swift. An updated version of the ?koda model introduced in March 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show.

The five-door is built on the modernized PQ25 platform, which also underlies Volkswagen Polo fifth generation and Seat Ibiza fourth generation. Thanks to new design solutions, the weight of the new Fabia has been reduced by an average of 65 kilograms (compared to the second-generation car).

Restyled ?koda Fabia, both station wagon and hatchback received new front and rear bumpers, as well as headlights and fog lights. Base hatchbacks still come with H7 halogen reflector headlights and LED daytime running lights (four LEDs per headlight). However, for the first time, adaptive LED headlights with a cornering light function appeared on the Fabia's options list.

In addition, the list of additional options includes rear LED lights, adaptive cruise control, a rear-view camera and parking sensors, a collision warning system with automatic emergency braking in city mode, a driver fatigue monitoring system, light and rain sensors, a system High-Beam Assist automatic light switching, blind spot sensors, hold function when starting on a slope and other equipment. However, configurations for different countries are different, and not all "European" options are offered for cars that are officially sold on our market. In addition, motor ranges are also different.

The range of engines of the updated 3rd generation ?koda Fabia in Ukraine consists of the following units:

• the three-cylinder 1.0 TSI turbo engine is available in two versions: 95 hp; (160 Nm) and 110 hp (200 Nm). It is combined with a six-speed manual transmission, as well as a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch “robot”;
• four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine 1.6 MPI (110 hp, 155 Nm). Works in tandem with a mechanical five-speed or 6-band "automatic".

Fabia is presented in three standard trim levels for the Czech brand: Active, Ambition and Style. All cars for the Ukrainian market are by default produced with the "bad roads" package. The basic equipment includes ABS, ESC, frontal airbags for the driver and passenger, radio preparation, a full-size spare tire, power windows for the front doors, and heated rear-view mirrors. In the "senior" equipment levels (or optionally), the ?koda Fabia can be equipped with air conditioning or climate control, an on-board computer, a keyless start engine button, cruise control, parking radars, a panoramic sunroof and other equipment.

The SKD assembly of ?koda Fabia for the Ukrainian market was organized at the Eurocar plant in the Transcarpathian region.
