Skoda Fabia - the world premiere of the third generation hatchback of the Czech brand took place in the fall of 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. In the new generation, Fabia has become 30 mm lower and 90 mm wider than its predecessor. Changed dimensions allowed to increase the space in the cabin, and also gave the car a more squat and modern look. Trunk volume - 330 liters (+15 liters).
The five-door is built on the modernized PQ25 platform, which also underlies Volkswagen Polo fifth generation and Seat Ibiza fourth generation. Thanks to new design solutions, the weight of the new Fabia has been reduced by an average of 65 kilograms - the basic version weighs 980 kilograms.
The range of Škoda Fabia engines in Ukraine consists exclusively of gasoline units:
Buyers of the "third" Fabia are offered ample opportunities for personalizing the car. So, for example, 13 different body colors are available for the model. In this case, the roof, side mirror housings and rims can be painted in a different shade. Standard wheels are 14- or 15-inch with steel rims, optional 16- and even 17-inch alloy wheels can be installed.
The Fabia hatchback is presented in three standard trim levels for the Czech brand: Active, Ambition and Style. All cars for the Ukrainian market are by default produced with the “bad roads” package. The basic equipment includes ABS, ESC, frontal airbags for the driver and passenger, radio preparation, a full-size spare tire, power windows for the front doors, and heated rear-view mirrors. In the "senior" equipment levels (or optionally), the Škoda Fabia can be equipped with air conditioning or climate control, an on-board computer, a keyless start engine button, cruise control, parking radars, a panoramic sunroof and other equipment.
SKD assembly of the third generation Škoda Fabia at the Eurocar plant in the Transcarpathian region started in April 2015.
