Skoda Kamiq — compact front-wheel drive crossover. Introduced in February 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show. On the tongue Inuit the word Kamiq means "what is perfect for any situation."
This is the most compact SUV of the brand, which is one step lower in the model range. Karoq, and the dimensions turned out to be very close to the platform hatchback Scala. It is noteworthy that with almost the same wheelbase (2651 mm for Kamiq and 2649 mm for Scala), the Kamik is 121 mm shorter, as a result of which the trunk turned out to be less spacious - 400/1395 liters versus 467/1410 liters.
Kamiq was the first Škoda car to receive a “double-deck” front optics with LED running lights on the upper tier, which, on cars with optional Full LED optics, also act as dynamic direction indicators with lights running to the sides. The diameter of the wheels, depending on the configuration, can be from 16 to 18 inches. And the designers initially provided for the possibility of installing a panoramic roof.
The organization and interior design of the Škoda Kamiq are identical to those of the Škoda Scala, with the only difference being that due to the increased ground clearance by 39 mm, the Kamiq has a slightly higher seating position. The list of comfort options includes a heated windshield and steering wheel, climate control, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a virtual tidy with a 10.25-inch color display, a front passenger seat with a folding backrest for transporting long items, interior contour lighting, keyless entry and much more.
The engine range is opened by a “turbo engine” 1.0 TSI (95 hp, 175 N•m or 115 hp, 200 N•m), followed by a 1.5 TSI petrol engine (150 hp, 250 N•m). m) and diesel 1.6 TDI (115 hp, 250 N•m). For some European countries, a 1.0 G-TEC methane engine (90 hp, 145 N•m) is also available. And in Ukraine, a 1.6-liter “aspirated” with a capacity of 110 hp became the base for the model. and a torque of 155 Nm.
Gearboxes - "mechanics" in five and six steps or a seven-speed "robot" DSG. The 1.6 engine instead of the DSG box is offered with a 6-speed torque converter “automatic”.
The Škoda Kamiq is produced at the Škoda factory in Mladá Boleslav (Czech Republic). The model of the same name for the Chinese market is produced by SAIC Volkswagen JV in China.
