Skoda Octavia Scout - a restyled version of the all-terrain wagon, created on the basis of the second generation Octavia, was introduced in 2009, simultaneously with the premiere of the updated "charged" modification Octavia RS. In addition to the upgraded appearance, the Octavia Scout has received a new fourth-generation Haldex multi-plate clutch, which now transfers torque to the rear axle even faster if necessary. In addition, from now on, the driver, for example, when driving on slippery surfaces, has the opportunity to pre-enable the electronic simulation of the clutch lock.
The ground clearance of the Skoda Octavia Scout is 18 centimeters. At the same time, the bumpers, sills and wheel arches of the car are protected by a black plastic body kit.
Diesel modifications are not presented on the Ukrainian market. As a power plant for the model, only a 1.8-liter turbocharged TSI gasoline engine is available, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. In this combination, the motor produces 160 hp. and 250 Nm of torque, which is available in the range of 1,500-4,500 rpm. Up to a hundred kilometers per hour, the station wagon accelerates in 8.4 seconds. The maximum speed is 211 km/h.
The trunk volume of the all-wheel drive "Scout" is the same as that of the front-wheel drive "Combi". In its normal state, its volume is 580 liters, and with the rear sofa folded down - 1,620 liters.
The Skoda Octavia Scout is produced at the Eurocar plant in Transcarpathia.
