Skoda Superb 2008 - the second generation of a business class car, which premiered at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008. During 2013 the company will present a restyled version of the model.

The highlight of the car is the original design of the Twindoor tailgate, which can be opened both separately, in the manner of a sedan, and with a rear window, as in a liftback. The door can be equipped with electric drives and door closers. Trunk volume in the normal state is 565 liters, and with the rear seats folded down - 1,670 liters. For those for whom this is not enough, a station wagon is provided. Superb Combi with its huge cargo compartment (603 liters).

In addition, the Skoda Superb was not only the first car in the Skoda lineup, but also the first car in the Volkswagen Group to receive an intelligent headlight control system. She can not only follow the steering wheel, but also adjust the beam of light depending on the speed and weather conditions. At speeds up to 60 km/h, the headlights illuminate the roadside, and at speeds over 90 km/h, the beam of light rises, trying to illuminate as much of the road ahead as possible. During rain, the beam of light, on the contrary, falls lower so as not to blind the driver with reflections from drops.

Changed in the second generation and the way the engines are placed - instead of the longitudinal, the transverse arrangement of the motors is now used. As before, Superb was created on the stretched Volkswagen Passat platform. The main increase in dimensions of the "Czech" is provided for rear passengers.

Skoda Superb is supplied to Ukraine with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which, depending on the modification, produces from 152 to 160 hp. Paired with it can work as a six-speed “mechanics” or a torque converter automatic, as well as a seven-band “robot” DSG.

For a naturally aspirated V6 engine with a volume of 3.6 liters (260 hp and 350 Nm), only a six-speed robotic box is provided. The six-cylinder engine is only available for the all-wheel drive version of the Superb.

The only diesel engine for the Ukrainian market is a two-liter turbocharged unit that develops 140 hp. and 320 Nm of torque. It can be paired with a six-speed "mechanics" or "robot".

Skoda Superb is produced in the Czech Republic.
