Skoda Octavia RS- the car was created on the platform of the second generation "Octavia". The latest generation Octavia RS was introduced in 2009. The car received a new look - a front bumper with three large air intakes, upgraded headlights with LED daytime running lights and large RS nameplates that are mounted on a false radiator grille and trunk lid.
From the usual "civilian" Skoda Octavia, its RS version differs not only in appearance, but also in interior decoration, as well as in the power units and assemblies used. Armchairs in the "charged" modification are made in a sporty style and have pronounced lateral support. In addition, it became possible to order a fully leather upholstery.
The Octavia RS features a lowered sports suspension and a powerful two-liter petrol turbo engine. Its maximum power is 200 hp. is reached at around 5,100 rpm, and a peak torque of 280 Nm is available in the range of 1,700-5,000 rpm. A similar engine, boosted to 210 hp, is aggregated by a related model Volkswagen Golf GTI. True, unlike the Golf, only a six-speed manual is offered for the Octavia RS engine in Ukraine. While a six-band DSG “robot” is also available for the GTI.
The liftback accelerates to “hundreds” in 7.2 seconds. The maximum speed is just over 240 km/h.
In the Ukrainian market, Skoda Octavia RS is offered in the only well-equipped configuration. Standard rims are 17" with 18" available as an option. The clearance of the model is 140 mm. SKD has been established in Ukraine.
