Description Skoda Superb Combi (B8)

Skoda Superb combi - Station wagon version of the flagship Superb model. The presentation of the third generation Superba took place in February 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show, and the Czechs presented the corresponding Superb Combi in September of the same year at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is built on the modular MQB platform, which also formed the basis Volkswagen Passat B8 and other models of the Volkswagen group. 

In the third generation, the length of the Škoda Superb Combi has grown to 4,856 mm, which is 23 mm more former generation, and the wheelbase added 79 mm - up to 2,841 mm. In addition, the front track was increased to 1584 mm, and the rear to 1572 mm. Thanks to this, the trunk has become more spacious (660 liters with the backs of the second row raised - 60 liters more than its predecessor) and more free space has been added in the passenger compartment.

If earlier even the top model did not have all the options inherent in the more compact VW Passat sedan, then the third generation Superba is not inferior in terms of “armament” even to the most sophisticated Passat. For example, in the top European versions there is an adaptive chassis. Also, the list of options includes active bi-xenon headlights with a turn function and low beam LEDs, a Bolero multimedia system with twelve speakers, an electric tailgate, a parking assistant, leather seats with electric adjustments and driver's seat settings memory and much more.

On the Ukrainian market, Škoda Superb Combi is offered in both front- and all-wheel drive versions. Petrol versions with TSI turbo engines and diesel versions with TDI turbo engines are available. The simplest configurations are offered with a six-speed manual transmission, and the two-pedal Superba are equipped with six- and seven-speed DSG robotic boxes.

Petrol:

• 1.8 TSI (180 hp, 320 or 250 Nm). Front-wheel drive, 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG dual clutch dry;
• 2.0 TSI (220 hp, 350 Nm). Front-wheel drive, 6-speed DSG with dual wet clutch;
• 2.0 TSI (280 hp, 350 Nm). All-wheel drive with Haldex clutch, 6-speed DSG with dual wet clutch.

Diesel:

• 2.0 TDI (190 hp, 400 Nm). Front or all wheel drive. 6-speed manual transmission (front-wheel drive only) or 6-speed DSG (front- or all-wheel drive) with dual wet clutch;

Škoda Superb Combi for the Ukrainian market are assembled at the Eurocar plant in the Transcarpathian region.
