Škoda Superb Combi (B8 restyling) - an updated version of the third generation of the model. Introduced in May 2019.
The reformed "Superb" received other bumpers, and the front one was provided in two versions at once - for basic and top trim levels. The grille was widened so that it now comes into contact with the headlights, and a full-width chrome strip appeared at the back and the brand name instead of the emblem. The headlights, with LED-elements already in the basic equipment, are made thinner, and the turn signals began to “scatter” to the sides like on Audi cars. Finally, for the first time for Skoda models, the list of additional options includes Crystal Lighting matrix LED headlights with the function of adjusting the light beam for safe and comfortable driving with oncoming traffic.
The changes in the cabin primarily affected the decor, LED backlighting and multimedia systems, which, depending on the configuration, have a display diagonal of 8.0 and 9.2 inches. In addition, starting the engine with a button was included in the basic package, and driver assistance systems have become more advanced. In particular, the algorithms of the adaptive cruise control have changed, and the automatic braking system has learned to predict the danger of a collision with a pedestrian.
There are ten combinations of engines and transmissions in the European range of the model. These are petrol turbo engines 1.5 TSI (150 hp) and 2.0 TSI (190 hp or 272 hp), turbodiesels 1.6 TDI (120 hp), 2.0 TDI Evo (150 hp) and 2.0 TDI (190 hp). And there was also a plug-in hybrid with a 1.4 TSI engine and an additional electric motor (up to 218 hp in total). Gearboxes: 6-speed "mechanics", 7-speed "robots" DSG and 6-speed DSG (in the hybrid version). The drive can be front or full.
The SKD assembly of the Škoda Superb Combi was organized at the Eurocar plant in the Transcarpathian region.
